Home for 2006
I finished the year with a (cold and rainy) 9.0 mile run. That puts me over 60 miles for the month. Not a huge month, considering over 28 miles were in the last five days! Still, it was good to end the year with a longer run.
Tonight, we’re going to a New Year’s Eve party. I’d rather do 10 more miles, but I guess I need to be social.
Resolutions? They are rarely kept, but here goes…I resolve to be a better husband, father and runner.

Home-by-a-Nose
I did a quick 4.0 mile run before going for a pajama skate. Without including the miles of carrying my kids around the rink, I’m 0.5 miles behind! I have a secret weapon though … I’m getting a huge zit on my nose. In my last run of the year, I’ll make up the 0.5 by leaning forward.
Note: While it looks like E is going to loose the running competition without his own secret weapon, it looks like he’s winning the “spend time with family” award. Way to go E!

Home-in-the-Lead
After a little over seven miles, I arrived home in the lead of our latest competition. I hate to brag and post the updated chart:

With only a 1.5 mile lead, I’m sure I will not be in front long. I’m reasonably sure I can hold my lead over E though!

Home-for-the-Holidays
I’m back home now. I put in an 8.5 mile run at the in-laws. Looks like BP is encouraging competition by creating a chart that puts us head-to-head by “comparing total monthly miles.” He’s so competititve that he had to build a better chart than mine (see below)!

Well, game on BP! I hope you have nothing else to do before the end of the year.
If I were Eric, I would wait until the new year. Ours look much bigger than his…

Home-Spread
I’ve taken some time off from the blog. Bill Faber put together a spreadsheet to help us prepare for the Riverbank. To see our daily miles, I added this chart:
Click on the chart to go to the table! I’ll keep adding my miles there and posting any new thoughts (rare) here. The only thing new to report is that I have NO injuries and a NEW haircut.
